Its beeps are annoying. I know they can be muted temporarily from APC's PowerChute Personal Edition in Windows with the USB cable, but they don't last forever. I still want to use the APC UPS as a power surge protector for now (having no backup battery power is OK for now since I don't have important electronics on them).So, I sent a message to APC support and wait for them to get back to me.
